Award winning bluegrassers Ila Auto sings in their native language and is often refered to as «the locomotive of the Norwegian bluegrass scene». Not strictly a bluegrassband they mix it up with country, folk and rock’n’roll. They are known as an explosive live band, and have played festivals around Europe.
 
Their first album won the Spellemann award (the Norwegian Grammy) for best country album. They have since then released four albums and one ep. Their new album Piknik med døden will be out February 14th and marks their 15th anniversary.
