I’m Not a Blonde is an Italian-American duo based in Milano. Chiara Castello and Camilla Benedini write electro-art-pop songs that bring together their many different influences: beats and synths from the 80s, brit-punk guitars and melodies from the 90s to create a unique world of their own. Their music and live performances are based on a blend of the 2 different personalities: Camilla is an architect that loves a rigorous, sleek style, while Chiara who studied art, prefers to include a bit of noise and disorder around her. Their musical world reflects a desire to find a balance between different aspects of experiences and perceptions including humor vs melancholy, minimalism vs art-pop, digital vs analog, lightness vs seriousness.
