The Imagination Movers story is the ultimate example of the power of imagination. In 2003, four New Orleans friends – Rich Collins, Scott K Durbin, Dave Poche, & Scott “Smitty” Smith – had a thought and the thought was good.
Smash cut - the Movers are celebrating over 23 years of entertaining families; you can watch the 76 episodes of their Emmy-winning “Imagination Movers” TV show on Disney+ or listen to the Movers’ songs, a catalog of more than 250 original compositions, which continue to populate the playlists of families everywhere.
They’ve entered the Top 10 of Billboard’s Kid Albums Chart, received multiple songwriting honors, released a compilation album entitled Coveralls: Songs from the Imagination Movers, featuring indie artists reinterpreting classic Mover songs, and hit virally with their song Watermelon Meow Meow.
Recently, the Movers have performed internationally, including Italy, Greece, Spain, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Bahrain as well as the US at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Festival International as well as their first 18+ shows. In 2025, they released The Carryover Effect Mixtape and their Christmas Mischief UP. With recent standout songs like Ice Cream Sandwich, Take Time, and Fine (The Sharing Song), the Movers continue to demonstrate they have a lot more imaginations to move.
