India Gailey is an award-winning Canadian cellist, composer, improviser, and interdisciplinary collaborator who works in many artistic realms. Named by the CBC as one of “30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30,” she has released several recordings as both a soloist and collaborator, including several specially commissioned works from living composers. Her cello concerto with Symphony Nova Scotia Butterfly Lightning Shakes the Earth was awarded an East Coast Music Award for Composition of the year and nominated for a 2025 Juno for Classical Album of the Year.
