Born in Honduras with Brazilian exiled parents, Indiana Nomma grew up in: Mexico, Portugal, Nicaragua, East Germany and Brazil. Nomma studied classical singing and piano at a young age and took part in drama and choir activities, which gave her the opportunity to sing in concert tours across Costa Rica and in Carnegie Hall in New York before the age of 20.

For 25 years, presenting the show Mercedes Sosa: The Voice of the Voiceless in Brazil, the Honduran-Brazilian singer Indiana Nomma was declared by the Argentine government and Mercedes Sosa's heirs in 2023 as the official representative of the greatest voice in Latin America, receiving the international award BRAND COUNTRY “FRIEND OF ARGENTINA”.

With 6 CDs produced and released since 2015, two of which, the CD UNEXPECTED and LESSONS IN LOVE, were finalists for the 27th and 29th Brazilian Music Awards in 2016 and 2018 and the eponymous INDIANA NOMMA was top 10 in sales in Israel on iTunes in 2017, in this Latin album, Indiana Nomma has been a critical success through the 10 songs immortalized by Mercedes Sosa, performed in partnership with guitarist André Pinto Siqueira, best solo guitarist at the Mimo Award in 2018.
