Infra Violet are an Indie pop / Synth pop duo based in the UK. A collaboration between producer Toby Campen’s 80's & 90’s pop inspired synth, and singer-songwriter Beth’s intricate guitar and soulful vocals.
Forming in 2020, the duo already has several successful releases including ‘Polaroid’, ‘Radio’ and ‘Grow’, mastered by Pete Maher (Depeche Mode, U2, The 1975). They’ve gained regular international radio play on BBC Radio, Phoenix FM & Nightride FM. They released their debut album ‘Dream Tether’ to overwhelmingly positive acclaim, pushing the boundaries of the genre by combining singer-songwriter, rock, fingerstyle and electronic influences, Infra Violet have poured everything into an emotional, passionate and bold debut.
Now, Infra Violet are returning with a list of UK dates in 2023, and with a new darker sound; a step further into their exploration of Synth Pop with their new single ‘Masochist’, releasing on 3rd March 2023. This single is the first of many to be released in 2023 in the leadup to their much anticipated 2nd album. Balancing pop influences with distorted guitar and howling vocals, with bittersweet, harrowing lyrics about the cycles of chasing addictive, unhealthy love to avoid the discomfort our own inner world. Masochist shows the darker, more thoughtful tone in the new album, and sets the stage for the new Infra Violet.
