Innerwoud is a one-man band with double bass and drones. The music vibrates between ambient and neoclassical. Drones are developed live from multi-layered textures and sounds from the double bass. This results in a melancholy trip, wandering in vast landscapes and yearning for an unpredictable darkness, while the subtle melody sheds a humble light on it. Pieter-Jan Van Assche (Ghent, BE) built up a strong live reputation over the past years and shared the stage with YUKO, Colin H. Van Eeckhout (Amenra), Astrid Stockman and Karen Willems, among others.
