Insepultus - short biography
Insepultus, a solo black metal project from the depths of southern Romania, was born in 1998. The initial spark for Insepultus occurred in 2003 with the release of the demo "The Hell Will Rise Again”, featuring a raw and muddy sound characteristic of the times. As life led Sep through different musical ventures, in 2018, Sep decided to revive Insepultus, driven by a desire to create new material with a polished sound. This renaissance resulted in the debut album, "Deadly Gleams of Blood, Steel and Fire," set to release in December 2023. The album defies easy categorization, blending black and death metal elements with epic storytelling. Its lyrical theme explores the emotional landscapes of war, inspired by Sep's personal encounter with mortality and reflections on life choices.
Collaborating with artist Costin Chioreanu for the album artwork, Insepultus brings to life haunting drawings inspired by World War I photographs.
While remaining a one-man endeavor, Sep enlisted talents like Nikola Dušmanić, Ezequiel Lagrotta, and Jeremy Diener for specific elements in the new album.
As Insepultus prepares for a resurgence, plans for a compelling live production in 2024 are in the works, guided by the experienced hands of Mihai Coro Caraveteanu, Sep's former bandmate.
With influences rooted in the '90s black metal scene, Insepultus invites all metal enthusiasts to join their journey with horns raised high, staying true to the essence of metal.
