Ambient pop duo Insides teamed singer/bassist Kirsty Yates and guitarist/programmer Julian Tardo, who previously joined forces under the name Earwig. Signing to 4AD's Guernica imprint, the duo debuted in 1993 with the disquieting Euphoria. Clear Skin, a single 38-minute ambient piece written for the duo to perform as their own support act followed in 1994. After building their own studio in Brighton UK, their third release was Sweet Tip in mid-2000 on the Third Stone label. They regrouped in 2017 releasing remixes for the band 'now' and Fujiya Miyagi. Euphoria was remastered for RSD19 and the band began to perform live again. Their fourth album Soft Bonds was released on January 15th 2021. The double A side Shade/Crumb Dropper followed later that year.
