IO, singer based in Owings Mills, Maryland was born as Taylor Ashlee Curry in Chesapeake, VA. IO got her start in music at the early age of four when she started to play the piano. Throughout her high school years she would sing in her schools choir and perform in talent shows. By her sophomore year of college, she had decided to take her singing to the next level. She debuted with her first EP titled Limbo in 2017 under the name Lea. IO would then begin to produce her own music in 2018, and it would eventually lead to her name change to IO. In 2020 she would release her latest single ‘Drunk Mind Interlude’ to establish her new sound. By 2022, she would create a production duo with fellow producer Kuko Kreg to form the group Striped Sweater.
