iQUAN

Maxwell Désiré Afrey-Mensah, mostly know as iQUAN, is a singer and songwriter from Ghana who blends the style of Hip-Life with Reggae and Dancehall. He also short-circuits’ the Fante dialect, of the people of Cape Coast and Takoradi, with the Jamaican style.

In 2020 iQUAN released, “The Blueprint,” a 6 song EP, on which he featured Skulboi DC on the first song which was titled, “This Life.” He worked with Chizzy Cromie and Yaw Black as his producers in this period in Kumasi.

In 2022 back in Accra, IQUAN linked up with Marince Omario in Dansoman. In the same year, iQUAN released his 5 song EP titled Trapsoman, which features Marince Omario on the first song titled, “No Stories.” iQUAN worked with five producers on this project, namely; Siemaa, KFlex, Ransom, Kokhe and Calviin, who helped individually with the recordings and beats of this project. In this project, he spotlights his lifestyle in Dansoman and iconic nature of the estate itself.

iQUAN later links up with popular producer, Kuvie at the Essiebons Studio and make several records that are yet to come out.
