Iron Lotus formed in the summer of 2017 by high school friends and guitarists Shayne Parnell and Thomas Clepper as a fun cover band project at the time going by the name of Driftwood. Come fall 2018 the band would be reformed as Iron Lotus with the intention of writing and creating some of the best alternative rock, metal, and grunge songs known to the human ear. The years to come would be filled with playing many shows for the masses at famous venues such as Downbeat, Ong King Arts Center, Anna O'Briens, Nextdoor, and Kailua Music School. This would all culminate into Iron Lotus' debut album Noise Pollution being released in the summer of 2022 after years of tumultuous recording sessions and song re writings. Iron Lotus doesn't tailor to 1 specific genre as they are a melting pot of genres. They play what they feel as they feel.
