Ishaan Chhabra is a composer and music producer working between Los Angeles and Mumbai. A Berklee College of Music graduate, his work spans feature films, documentaries, and commercials.
Ishaan's debut feature, Children of War (2014), received critical acclaim. He then composed for Budhia Singh: Born to Run (2016), which won a National Award, and Omertà (2017), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. His work on HBO's Momentum Generation (2018) earned a Sports Emmy nomination, and he co-composed the Oscar-nominated Writing With Fire (2021). Recently, he scored the 'Rice' episode of the Apple+ documentary Omnivore (2024).
In Hindi cinema, Ishaan scored the box-office hit Srikanth (2024), Love Aaj Kal (2020) and Raksha Bandhan (2022). He also composed for Scam 2003 (Sony) and Dhootha (Amazon Prime Video). His commercial clients include Intel, History Channel, Renault, and Škoda.
Ishaan produced the acclaimed Vintage Bollywood sample library for Splice in 2023. He was a finalist for the Rolex Arts Initiative (2016-17), mentored by Philip Glass, and his score for Scam 2003 won Best Soundtrack at the Talentrack Awards 2023. He also created virtual instruments for Sonivox.
Ishaan has collaborated with A.R. Rahman as a music producer on projects including Million Dollar Arm, The Hundred Foot Journey, Pelé: Birth of a Legend, Viceroy's House, and Hindi and Tamil films such as Highway, Tamasha, and Mohenjo Daro.
