Rising R&B-flavored Singer/Songwriter IYVES has made her return to music with the release of “Gold,” in April 2019. This single is the perfect testament to her homecoming, showcasing her celestial and sensual vocals over an equally as enthralling beat.
“Gold” fuses a multitude of genres - R&B, soul, electronic, and pop - to craft something authentic and robust. IYVES explains that the track is about “finding someone that treats you better than you’ve ever experienced,” a feeling that you didn’t know was physically possible to feel. The song begins with skepticism in her voice and in the lyrics, but progresses to an understanding of how rare and special this circumstance of love is. IYVES was “caught up in the silver” but now is feeling GOLD.
