J Scoops

The Mexican-American artist, J. Scoops was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. J. Scoops was born in the late 80s’ and grew up listening to hardcore rap during The G-Funk Era, but idolized 2pac the most – as “his music always inspired him and kept him going forward in life.” It was being raised in an atmosphere that would break most that drove J. Scoops to stay committed to his vision, and keep his pen moving even during the darkest of times.


When recalling what brought J. Scoops to where he is today, he recalls a period in time where he experienced an immense amount of loss growing up. “We was growing up together man literally coming up together we had the same exact vision.” Experiencing many moments in his life where loved ones were taken from him that caused him to really “…take a step back and just view the whole atmosphere of what was going on around me, in music, everything life was about…” – His challenging upbringing are the extremes in life that shaped him and his music today. It’s those unsettling memories that drove him here, a beacon of hope for his fans, and have made him into the type of artist who shines light and passion in the darkest corners of this world.


J. Scoop’s music career continues to rise and bring his visions to life. He proudly continues to elevate and evolve knowing that he carries the reputation of coming from nothing to something.
