Emerging from South Florida’s eclectic music scene, Jaacobi crafts genre-blurring soundscapes that invite listeners into richly detailed, cinematic worlds. A lifelong rhythm enthusiast, he began his musical journey at age four behind a drum kit, cultivating an early appreciation for music’s emotional depth. As a teenager, Jaacobi found inspiration in the experimental sounds of J Dilla, King Krule, Flying Lotus, and Odd Future, leading him to explore production techniques shaped by the artists on Stones Throw Records and the spontaneous creativity of Mass Appeal’s “Rhythm Roulette” series.

Jaacobi’s musical vision came into sharper focus during his time studying abroad in London, where he immersed himself in the city’s vibrant electronic scene and composed his breakthrough EP, True. Fusing modern production with analog tools like drum machines and samplers, he transforms nostalgic influences from movies and internet culture into fresh, immersive tracks. His meticulous sound design invites discovery with every listen, rewarding headphones as the ultimate medium for his layered artistry.

Poised to release his upcoming EP, 3, on January 10 via Amtrac’s OPENERS label, Jaacobi represents a bold voice in Miami’s electronic community. Rooted in the cultural richness of his home state, his music pushes boundaries while offering deeply personal, transportive journeys.
