Jake Dallas Benn, a.k.a. Jacobious Lovebone, is originally from New York. His musical career began with Bastardane as a college freshman in Savannah, Georgia—a witchy Southern town whose haunted charm served as the foundation of his career.

It is important to mention Bastardane and Savannah as these two forces form a significant role in the development of Jacobious Lovebone. In the unruly, half-mythic history of Bastardane, many things remain unknown. Founders Ethan Sirotzki, Castor Hetfield, and Jake Benn released their first album, Is This Rage?, in 2022 —a period in which Jake forged a deep basso-profundo vocal style to match the band’s tuned-down riffs and melancholic lyrics, cementing their Southern-heavy-metal identity.

Internal tensions soon forced a paradigm shift, and Jake transformed into Jacobious Lovebone, a wild, eccentric frontman who pushed his performative antics to theatrical extremes—often favoring shock value over sanity. Though adored by some, his erratic behavior carried consequences. Jacobious Lovebone is, at times, an arrogant and selfish entity, one who thrives on chaos and decay—
yet also a tragic clown who simply hasn’t finished his act.
