New Orleans-based wrestling enthusiasts Suplecs (they're named after a particular takedown trick) formed in the mid-'90s and consist of Durel Yates (guitars/vocals), Danny Nick (bass/vocals), and Andrew Preen (drums). Their year 2000 debut Wrestlin' With My Lady Friend was released shortly before their record company, Man's Ruin, went belly up, but Suplecs carried on undeterred, unleashing their second effort, Sad Songs... Better Days (produced by former Ugly Kid Joe member Dave Fortman), through Dark Reign/Devil Doll Records in 2002. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
