Jade de Lafleur is a Louisiana native whose passion for music and entertainment started at 5 years old. It was then that her mother, a soloist with the local church choir, introduced Jade to the music of Whitney Houston.Jade’s professional career began as a member of the girl group Sophia Fresh, signed to J Records(Clive Davis) & UnderDog Entertainment (Harvey Mason Jr. & Damon Thomas); they later signed to T -Pain/Atlantic Records. She then toured internationally as a Background Singer/Dancer for Solange Knowles. Lafleur’s first Solo release was a critically acclaimed 9 song EP entitled Jaded. It featured “Smoking In My Car,” a song co-written with master songwriter James Fauntleroy. "Jaded" the title track from the EP, was featured on Solange’s Saint Heron compilation album.
Her latest album The Green Horse, features standout singles such as Shotgun,Toxic, and Wave featuring Seun Kuti. The original "Miss Mississippi" in the play P Valley, and most recently Co Starring in Marvel's Luke Cage, Jade is a triple threat Virtuoso on a fantastic Voyage.
