Jahcoustix has been touring around the globe for 25 years and has played shows in more than 40 countries. He spent most of his childhood and youth in Africa and discovering Reggae at the age of 14 provided answers to many questions and was the main inspiration and drive for Jahcoustix's first own compositions. In the late 90s Jahcoustix returned to Germany and in the following years became an active part of the flourishing Reggae scene in Europe. Same as german artists like Gentleman and Patrice, Jahcoustix became an identification figure for a new generation of young Reggae listeners in Germany. Festivals such as the famous Montreux Jazz Festival, but also appearances at germany´s biggest Festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park are some of the highlights that adorn Jahcoustix‘s path to this day. Jahcoustix has released 8 studio albums and countless singles (e.g. World Citizen feat. Shaggy) and has released songs together with some of his greatest Reggae heroes (e.g. Apple Gabriel, Horace Andy, Akae Beka). In times of global paradigm shifts and complex social debates, it is important to spread an atmosphere of good vibes with music. A new Album is in the making and will be released in early 2026.
