Born and raised in Vandergrift, a small town 30 miles outside of Pittsburgh PA, the prospects for Jaira (pronounced Jair-ruh) actually breaking into the music industry were slim. But that didn’t stop the blossoming powerhouse vocalist from putting in work. As anticipation builds for the young Pittsburgh native, we can’t help but acknowledge her 2017 accomplishments. The “singer/songwriter is steadily building up a sound that will leave a lasting impression,” says Complex magazine. In July her breakout single "Ugly" was handpicked by Olivier Rousteing as the musical backdrop for the Beats/Balmain ad campaign which featured Kylie Jenner. She also released visuals for “Burn Slow” a new metaphoric melody, juxtaposing the slow& and steady beginnings of a romance and late-night smoke, and her upbeat track “High Rollin”.
