Jakey Jakes is a New York City-based singer-songwriter born and raised in Minnesota. He began writing songs at the wee age of 8 and honed his craft during his years undergrad. Striving to tell stories, build worlds, paint vibrant montages, and allow emotions to take their course, he found music to be the channel that came most naturally. An artist who employs his synesthesia to shape both lyrics and melody, he fosters the notion that songs can project miniature movies in the mind.
