‘If songs are the voice of the heart, then storytelling is the language’ - Jamie Quickfall
Working at The Sage Gateshead in his late teens, Jamie has been exposed to a plethora of great songwriters, from whom he’s been able to draw a lot of inspiration from.
Being frontman and songwriter of a local band, Silva Method, allowed Jamie to be creative with his songwriting, which took him and his band to the finals of the Soundwave Music Competition, playing at the O2 Academy Newcastle.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Jamie has honed his songwriting skills in a number of different genres, including Country, Pop and Rock. He takes inspiration from a diverse range of songwriters including Diane Warren, Jeff Lynne, Dolly Parton and Tim Wheeler.
Jamie’s music took to the airwaves in 2017 on BBC Radio Newcastle through BBC Introducing.
