Jan Gunnar Hoff is a Norwegian jazz pianist and keyboardist, composer, arranger and professor. Born in Bodø, Northern Norway 1958. Steinway &amp; Sons Artist. 20 albums, 250 works. Hoff´s debut CD <a href="spotify:album:06SEdZ3gHHpUhgMuhyjqKO" data-name="Syklus">Syklus</a> was recorded in 1992, based on a commission for the Arts Festival of North Norway. Since 1993 Hoff has worked as a bandleader presenting original compositions in settings with musicans like <a href="spotify:artist:7vLSlwyxgwz4SCqkkTtMaq" data-name="Audun Kleive">Audun Kleive</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5TqxBHPsl5JnkRqPiZALxh" data-name="Tore Brunborg">Tore Brunborg</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6emZIO62oAXpIGiplDApwJ" data-name="Mathias Eick">Mathias Eick</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3xsf409GxJ5iRn5HtkTAms" data-name="Per Jørgensen">Per Jørgensen</a>. Major band events include Hoff´s highly acclaimed Vossajazz-debut in 1995, Oris London Jazzfestival 1996 and Molde Int. Jazzfestival 1996 with EBU-broadcast. Another highlight is Hoff Groups´s successful collaboration with <a href="spotify:artist:3t58jfUhoMLYVO14XaUFLA" data-name="Pat Metheny">Pat Metheny</a> at Molde Int. Jazzfestival in 2001.

Hoff received the Edvard-prize as a composer from Tono in 2004 for his jazz mass <a href="spotify:album:0IrYc0Mvy3jSM3ItSDdmBE" data-name="Meditatus">Meditatus</a>.
