A hard rock/power metal solo project from Norway by Jan Magne Garte.
Born in Kristiansand in the south of Norway in 1971.
In '75 he and his family moved to the small village of Surnadal,and at the age of 16 he had started playing bass in different bands. His last band would eventually grow in popularity and open for some of the most popular Norwegian rock bands at the time.
By the early 2000s Garte had started a band with some of his best friends and expanded his repertoire by writing his own songs, singing and switching from bass to guitar. Around the same time his parental duties would start to take the focus from the music and his career as a musician would take a hiatus for almost two decades.
Now after all this time his love for making music has truly rekindled and the old musician has returned.
All of his music is heavly influenced by the songs of his youth, from genres such as '80s hard rock, heavy metal, thrash, but also taking notes from the next generation of musicians.
Garte also has another solo project under the name <a href="spotify:artist:0WlsNyfNdvDl7hQzRZDtJq" data-name="LORRIDI">LORRIDI</a>.
