Jani Matti Juhani is a Finnish singer-songwriter from Tampere, known for his critically acclaimed albums that span genres from indie pop to rock and roll and synthpop to glamrock. With a career spanning over two decades, he has undergone numerous transformations, both musically and artistically. He began his career in 2004 by creating a cartoon character named Jann Wilde. The shy and introverted pop artist stepped into the shoes of his creation, and Jann Wilde & Rose Avenue achieved success across Central Europe, reaching chart positions in his home country. A big admirer of David Bowie, Jani Matti Juhani has followed in his idol’s footsteps, constantly reinventing himself with each album and exploring new pop art territories. Most recently, he has recorded Finnish versions of Elvis Presley’s songs.
