Jasmine is a saxophone-led quintet from Leeds, performing music composed by saxophonist Jasmine Whalley.

The band performs an interesting blend of Jazz and Hip-Hop which creates a unique and current sound. Jasmine is inspired by artists including MF Doom, MadVillain, Soweto Kinch, Bonobo and more.

Since the band formed in September 2017, they have performed at some of Leeds' most popular Jazz venues such as The Wardrobe, SevenArts, and The Hyde Park Book Club.
They have also supported international jazz musicians Trish Clowes, Ross McHenry, and Nubya Garcia.

In July 2018, Jasmine was selected to take part in the 'Jazz North Introduces' scheme, which supports emerging artists in the north. This was a huge achievement for the band and since been awarded they began working on their debut EP, Bring to Light, which was released on the 5th of April 2019.
