Jason Jobst

Jason Jobst, was born to humble beginnings in Memphis, TN. His parents struggled to make it in more ways than one. He remembers though that music was always in the background. He later began teaching himself how to play on his step-fathers guitar and would sing lead vocals in church at only 15 yrs of age. At that time people would often joke and say that his voice resembled Bob Dylan. However, his voice matured as he cut his teeth in front of churches and its a good thing he did.

On a whim, Jason played his first open mic with Texas Music Network and that set the stage for his growth into the Texas Country Music industry. Over the next few years he penned some great songs he is working on to be released soon. In 2023 Jason won “Production of the Year” for Texas State Songwriters Championship, in 2024 he was a finalist in the TSSC songwriting competition, and in 2025 he was top 10 finalist in A Voice for Habitat for Humanity.

Jason's debut release, "Texas" , is an authentic upbeat song sure to be an anthem for the state and beyond. It depicts the struggle independent artists have with the machine and choosing to do it their own way instead of signing their life away. Specifically in Texas it speaks to being free to write and sing the songs that they want to.
