Joshua Sean Bradstreet, from Worcester, MA, embodies resilience and transformation. Born to a mother just 17 years old and parents battling addiction, he grew up in poverty surrounded by chaos. His Irish Catholic mother, despite her struggles, read him the Bible nightly, sparking a deep spiritual perspective that stayed with him. His childhood was marked by abuse, bullying, and his mother’s repeated suicide attempts, and he spiraled into substance abuse himself, surviving a near-fatal suicide attempt at 15 after moving to Maine.

In his twenties, Joshua faced homelessness and toxic relationships, but fatherhood and music became his lifelines. Even when addiction resurfaced, he poured his pain into rap and poetry. The loss of a close friend pushed him to rebuild his life, leading him into healthcare—first as a CNA, then EMT, and now a nurse and adult crisis counselor.

Joshua’s greatest heartbreak came with his mother’s suicide on August 4th, deepening his drive to heal and help others. Today, as a devoted husband and father of five, he balances nursing, crisis work, and music, turning his pain into hope for those who feel unseen. His journey proves that even through unimaginable suffering, redemption is possible.
