Jeané was born in Centurion, Gauteng in May 2004. Her parents say she sang before she could even speak. From the age of 5-9 years old she lived on a farm in Limpopo with her parents where she always used to sit on her swing outside singing with the wind in her hair dreaming of becoming a big star. At the age of 10 she and her family moved down to the south coast of Kwazulu Natal, the place where she had the happiest and also saddest moments of her life... at the age of 14 she auditioned for the worship band in her church, and surprisingly she was the only one that night who got accepted, she was part of the Doxa Margate worship band for 4 years. At the age of 20 she decided to record and release her first original song "Val vir jou" that she co-writed with Vincent Gordon. She writes songs about her own feelings and life experiences with the goal that it will touch her listeners hearts and tell them a bit more of herself.
