Jed Arbour is a cathartic listening experience. The vocals range from deep and velvety, to powerful, scratchy and gnawing, to soft ethereal vibrato. Comprised of intimate stories, Jed shares a generous amount of themselves to the listener, making you feel unsettled, understood, and self- reflective. Jed’s brings a deeply honest and captivating performance, where they try to be completely present with the crowd. With a tight drummer, melodic bass lines, dynamic starts and stops, and odd time signatures, the music has a large range of textures to encompass most moods. Their music feels like folk meets math rock, with a little bit of 90’s post punk. Compared to artists like slint, big thief, cat power, and P.J Harvey, this is a band you won’t want to miss.
