Jeff Franzel

Jeff Franzel is a songwriter, jazz pianist and educator from NYC, with a successful career in the music business for over 35 years. He has accompanied <a href="spotify:artist:1Mxqyy3pSjf8kZZL4QVxS0" data-name="Frank Sinatra">Frank Sinatra</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4X8QFzZ1HqwPfwDfyjtwXC" data-name="Mel Tormé">Mel Tormé</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1NAWG3AngjBXyKbmPaz92D" data-name="Sammy Davis Jr.">Sammy Davis Jr.</a> while playing with The Les Brown Orchestra.
Since moved to NYC in the early 80&#39;s, Jeff became a successful pop songwriter: his #2 pop hit “Don’t Rush Me” for <a href="spotify:artist:32lVGr0fSRGT6okLKHiP68" data-name="Taylor Dayne">Taylor Dayne</a>, and writing hits for <a href="spotify:artist:3RwQ26hR2tJtA8F9p2n7jG" data-name="The Temptations">The Temptations</a>&#39;, <a href="spotify:artist:6Ff53KvcvAj5U7Z1vojB5o" data-name="*NSYNC">*NSYNC</a> (two Christmas songs), <a href="spotify:artist:13aBWT8LN4oNWWGFOu96MA" data-name="Clay Aiken">Clay Aiken</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6cXMpsP9x0SH4kFfMyVezF" data-name="Josh Groban">Josh Groban</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4pU3BpenOZFEBzORx2YBJW" data-name="Plácido Domingo">Plácido Domingo</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:7nwrblOf59ulOiB6djwPVh" data-name="Dianne Reeves">Dianne Reeves</a>. Featured on over 275 records internationally, with more than 20 top ten singles.
Jeff’s song ‘Never Was Blue Like’ (<a href="spotify:artist:0K7VN4aHxHcEb7PqkfoIVA" data-name="Shawn Colvin">Shawn Colvin</a>) was featured in Runaway Bride. His song ‘When You Know’ (Shawn Colvin) was featured in Serendipity. Currently Jeff has two songs on <a href="spotify:artist:4T2k9bgIoC8bbqjqiEl9vZ" data-name="Rhys Lewis">Rhys Lewis</a> (Island Records) upcoming album and with Rhys opening <a href="spotify:artist:4GNC7GD6oZMSxPGyXy4MNB" data-name="Lewis Capaldi">Lewis Capaldi</a>&#39;s upcoming world tour.
Movie composer, Jeff’s music for ‘The Rehearsal’ was nominated for The Indie Series Awards for Best Score. The Rehearsal recently received two Emmys nominations.
His new composing project is the score for ‘Hurt By Paradise’, with ‘<a href="spotify:album:3KTL6M0FrQN5KLZRpo8U82" data-name="An Old Fashioned Mystery (Main Theme)">An Old Fashioned Mystery (Main Theme)</a> chosen as first opening single. The soundtrack will be released on Gold Eagle Entertainment, distributed by MusicOK, digital distributions.
During Covid Jeff has been performing Stream Live Videos solo piano concerts every Thursday at 5:00-6:30PM, supporting his fans during these difficult times
