Jerome Blazé is a artist and producer based in Sydney, known for his distinctive sonic world. His own project refracts elements of electronic, trip-hop, soul and neoclassical music through field recordings and analogue imperfection. A genre-fluid sound rooted in collaboration and texture.
In 2024 Blazé released his breakout sophomore record ‘Living Room’. Made entirely in Blazé’s un-treated living room, the album marks a turn to groove driven influences, attempting to capture Sydney sonically and placing collaboration at the forefront of the music.
At the beginning of 2024, Blazé released a timeline for a curated, year-long experience. It included a collaborative gig series, club nights, a series of videos, all shot in his living room and a documentary based around the making of the record, all gradually revealed throughout the year. The campaign culminated in a sold out launch at The Lansdowne, in which Blazé performed the album in its entirety alongside 13 other musicians.
Alongside his solo work, Blazé is increasingly recognised as a go-to producer and songwriter. His work can be heard on cuts with Chris Lanzon, Sarah Levins, Nick Ward, FRIDAY* and composing work for Louis Vuitton and Melbourne Fashion Week. Blazé also researches and lectures in popular music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
