His melodic playing combined with a deep groove makes him a very sought for musician with concerts all over the world with his own groups and as a sideman.
Besides releasing his own albums Jesper Bodilsen is participating on more than 100 albums with other artists.
Jesper Bodilsen was collaborating with Mr. Taste - Ed Thigpen, for more than 12 years but he has also performed and recorded with Joe Lovano, Brad Mehldau, Bill Frisell, Gregory Porter, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Lee Konitz, Marc Turner, Stefano Bollani, Lionel Loueke, Gino Vanelli, Phil Woods, Tom Harrell, Joey Calderazzo, Dino Saluzzi, Jimmy Heath, Benny Golson, James Moody, Horace Parlan, Duke Jordan, John Abercrombie, Enrico Rava, Paul Vertigo, Seamus Blake and Paulo Fresu.
“Like NHOP, Bodilsen possesses a warm sound, great dexterity, virtually faultless intonation and an aura of calm even in the midst of volcanic eruptions. He is a lyrical player whose supple lines unfold with ease” (JAZZTIMES, US)
