Jesse Rice is an award-winning writer and artist whose work has taken home ACM, AMA, CMA, Billboard, BMI, SESAC and Trop Rock Music Awards.
His first #1 came with the co-penned tune Cruise by Florida Georgia Line. It would go on to sell more than 15 million singles/downloads to become the first country song ever to receive a Diamond Certification from the RIAA. It would also hold the record as Billboard’s longest running #1 single for 24 straight weeks and took home ACM, AMA, CMA, Billboard, BMI and SESAC awards. His co-penned song “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega” was featured on Ashley McBryde’s Grammy nominated album Girl Going Nowhere.
Jesse’s songs have been cut by Florida Georgia Line, Nelly, Chase Rice, Kristian Bush of Sugarland, Ashley McBryde and Colt Ford.
As an artist, his “The Pirates Sessions” projects, The Pirate Sessions I & II, debuted in 2012 featuring guest appearances by Florida Georgia Line and Chase Rice.
The Pirate Sessions III premiered in 2017 peaking at #5 on the iTunes Country Albums Charts, and featured Micheal Ray, Clayton Anderson and Chase Rice. The impact of this project also resulted in him winning the “Horizon Award” at the 2017 Trop Rock Music Awards ceremony.
Rice then launched The Pirate Sessions IV in March 2019. The project, once again, sailed Jesse inside the Top-5 on the iTunes Country Album Charts and also notched his first solo project appearance on the Billboard Country Album charts Top 40 with this “Hot Shot Debut” in 2019.
