This jam band from Martha's Vineyard was formed by drummer Tom Major in 1993. Other personnel include guitarist/lead vocalist Brian Alex; conga, djembe, and trombone player Sam Holmstock; bassist Ned "Towering Inferno" Nugent; conga player <a href="spotify:artist:0n2kVTvcbzHwm2Q4D5LlKm">Hilary Noble</a>; and Klem Klimek on the saxophone. This multifaceted ensemble unites to produce music that melds a number of styles, from funk to klezmer, creating a kind of ethnic and musicological soup onstage. Entrain reaches across more genres than most jam bands, but still manage to have an improvisational quality to their music.
