Jessica Childress is a singer, songwriter, pianist and composer from Los Angeles known for her powerful voice and versatile songwriting. Her belief that music or any artistic pursuit shouldn’t be bound by industry rules and norms gives her the space to expand beyond genre and traditional artistic paths allowing her to express herself musically in diverse ways. Her artistry touches many corners of the music industry from performing as a solo artist opening for luminaries like John Mayer, Parliament Funkadelic, Earth Wind and Fire, The Family Stone, Patti LaBelle and Allen Stone; to penning songs featured in film and television shows. Her credits as a songwriter/composer include indie documentary Lucha, Apple TV+ “Central Park” and Hallmark's "Christmas in Harmony."
 
Her original music has been featured in the motion picture Shadow Force, starring Kerry Washington, Found on ABC, CW’s All American: Homecoming, “The Rookie: Feds” on ABC, on “All Rise” on CBS, “Station 19” on ABC, Hulu’s “Good Trouble” and “Shrill.” She is a co-writer on Italian diva Elisa's album Ritorno al Futuro/Back to the Future. The lead single off her 2020 EP, Walk with Me, was the feature track for indie film Princess of the Row starring Edi Gathegi and Martin Sheen. She is a vocalist in many major motion pictures such as The Color Purple (2023) Despicable Me 4, Elevation, Minions: Rise of Gru, Coming 2 America, Sing 2, Disney’s Mulan, Trolls World Tour and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.
