The Jestofunk project was born in 1990 from the meeting between 2 Italian DJs: Francesco Farias "Checco" and Alessandro Staderini "Blade", young emerging DJs from Cervia (Ravenna) and Florence respectively. In 1991, after meeting Claudio Mozart Rispoli they decided to produce their first single "I'm Gonna Love You" in his studio near Ravenna, thus the song was born which upon its release in the winter of '91 created a real "chance" on the international dancefloor scene. The song becomes a hit in clubs all over the world and is followed the following year by the equally dazzling "Say It Again", which consolidates Jestofunk definitively on the international scene. The third single entitled "Can We Live" immediately became the group's best-selling and drove the release of the first album "Love In A Black Dimension" in the Spring of 1994. The album contains, in addition to the three singles, some other gems of the “jestofunk sound”: “The Ghetto”, the cover of the historic song by Donny Hattaway and Leroy Hutson, with the participation of Fred Wesley of James Brown's JB's; “Straight to You”, with the voice of James Thompson, not to mention “For Your Precious Love” and “Theme from JFK” true cult songs for many international DJs...The band's discography was further enriched in the following years with the release of the albums "Universal Mother" and the subsequent "Seventy Miles From Philadelphia". Projects that have further increased the band's fans all over the world.
