London singer-songwriter and producer Jewelia creates her own quirky flavour of alternative pop.
With a penchant for blending genres, Jewelia explores different sounds with each release, from the cinematic chamber pop of her first album “City of My Mind”, to the catchy synthpop of “Little Wins", the gentle acoustic guitar of ‘Life is a Highway' (recently featured in the Netflix series ’Tires’), or the alternative rock with pop-punk influences of her upcoming releases.
"Little Wins", released in April 2024, is a collection of twelve songs about self-acceptance in the face of expectations. The album, self-produced and recorded by the artist, raised $10 000 on Kickstarter towards its making and was released via the London boutique label and publisher Pretty Decent Music.
Jewelia's rising artistry has seen support from Clash Magazine, The Daily Star, FAULT, Notion, Wonderland, The Vinyl District, Women in Pop, Loud Women, Amazing Radio, BBC Three Counties and BBC Radio Kent among many others, and was “Recommendation of the Week” on BBC Introducing with Abbie McCarthy. Her music, with 2 million YouTube views and 1.5 million Spotify streams, continues to enchant listeners worldwide.
In April, Jewelia toured 'Little Wins' around the UK, selling out London and Manchester, and in June played four stages at Glastonbury Festival.
