Jhay-know started writing songs at 17, but due to poverty, as he was a farmer in the mountainous area of Bukidnon, he did not have the opportunity to record his songs. Because of his great passion for music, he struggled until he got a chance to record his composition with his group RVW at age 26. Jhay-know and his group now have their recording equipment at home. Later on, in his effort to make a song suitable for ordinary people, his songs were discovered and played on various radio stations in Visayas and Mindanao. Later, Jhay-know learned to make his own beat or instrumental in his songs. To this day, he continues to produce pieces in various genres and earns enough money to provide for his family’s needs.
