Jim Pohlson is a Wisconsin-based multi-instrumentalist whose musical journey has been a lifelong one, starting in his teens with his first forays into guitar, bass, and songwriting. However, it was only in recent years that Jim decided to take the next step, when he was hit by a huge wave of inspiration and invigoration after finishing his home studio build in 2021. It didn’t take long until Jim’s first release, A Perfect Day, in 2022, the first of 5 singles released during that year, of which 4 were mixed and mastered by award-winning engineer Brian Reeves.
Inspired by an innumerable amount of influences centered around the greats of 70s and 80s rock, Jim’s music is decidedly guitar-forward, and takes listeners on a nostalgic journey characterized by punchy riffs, crisp vocals, and top-notch production. His tracks are fresh and exciting yet accessible in a way that has attracted a particularly diverse fanbase.
Having made so much progress in such a short space of time, securing radio features, playlist adds, and blog mentions across the world, Jim’s perfectly poised to start off the new year and keep building on his momentum.
