Joã0 is a Los Angeles based brazilian artist. A delicate voice that echoes brutal lyrics on themes of love, loneliness, isolation and the self - delivered on top of heavily inspired and creative chord progressions. With “Love Sells”, their first co-produced song with Fernando Tavares and Pedro Kayat, mixed by Latin Grammy nominee Rodrigo Martins, known for his work with Rubel and several others like Rebeca and Banda Tereza, Joã0 introduces his work.
"Love Sells”, released on May 31st, 2024, contains deep reflections on the marketability of art and love, and the artist’s struggles to move away from that which is sellable in order to produce their art. The simple chord progression enveloped in experimental, introspective and yet grandiose production, lays the foundation for the discussion of themes such as the relationship between art, love and consumerism.
Joã0 is currently working on the release of their upcoming full length debut album, “Paper Heart” coming in the summer of 2024, while captivating their audience with the release of singles tied to the project, digital presence on social media and live concerts.
