Joanna Jago accesses dreamlike states with synthesizers and percussion to deliver audiovisual events.
Born in Great Britain but lived most of her life in Portugal, Joanna started DJing in 2007 and it wasn't long till she realized that the pleasure of inducing others to dance and embarge in her musical sessions was something to cherish and nurture.
She began releasing her music as Joanna Jago and later as half of "astatine" in collaboration with YUOA/Aural on Deployment Strategies.
Deployment Strategies is a creative nest and label for sounds to be born, reshaped and deployed into the physical world.
She moves within the realms of electronic music, be it ambient, experimental, soundscapes, textures, drones or techno and variations.
