Multi-talented instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Joe Calderon has released his second album, "Cup Of Joe."
Born in Los Angeles, Calderon is well-known for his heartfelt guitar riffs and innate ability to create beautiful music.
"Music has always been part of my world," said Joe. "I grew up surrounded by music. My sister plays piano, brother plays flute, and my uncles were all guitarists. Oh yeah, my grandmother also played guitar. I picked it up at an early age and never put it down. I was too young to say I chose music, so I’d say music chose me."
Calderon is a musician, songwriter, and producer. He doesn't consider himself a vocalist, but he does also love to sing. While his main instrument will always be guitar, on his recordings he has also played piano, drums, percussion, and flute.
"Everything I ever heard growing up has been a huge influence in my music and personal life," recalls Calderon. "Musicians that influenced me included Jimi Hendrix, John McLaughlin, Pat Martino, and John Scofield. Also, the beautiful chord voicings of Bill Evans, McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea and Miles Davis."
Joe's stylings, both compositional and performance, run across many genres, including jazz, blues, latin, and fusion. It's this versatility as an artist and his experience in multiple styles of music and cultures that has enabled him to record and tour with artists from all over the world.
