About Joe Moon
One drunken night, the two childhood friends Anton Ekman and Johannes Mattsson had AI create a mashed up face of the portraits on their own ID-cards.
The face staring back at them was as alien as it was familiar and they gave him his only possible name; Joe Moon. The night came to an end, but Joe Moon was stuck in their minds. The invention of him had opened up new creative possibilities for the two friends; through Joe Moon they could describe old motives in new ways, let instruments take alternative roles and create new soundscapes, as artificial and real as the face of Joe Moon.
