John Thomas started in the alleys and rooftop parties of the underground house movement in early 2000s Chicago.Soon he was playing at Smartbar for his first residency alongside legends like Colette , Derek Carter , and Mark Farina. After moving to Austin, Texas in 2005 he created the band The Echoes the first live electronic band in the city. After disbanding Thomas continued making music for television, film, and video games . He is a ghostwriter as well as publishing his own tracks and has written in more than 40 genres of music while maintaining a style all his own. He still resides in Austin and doubles as an educator and therapist. He has taught college at The University of Texas at Austin and Johns Hopkins among others .
