John Van Deusen is a genre-blurring songwriter from Anacortes, WA, known for emotionally raw indie rock and restless creative energy. From fronting The Lonely Forest (NPR’s Best New Artist, 2011) to hardcore punk with Buffet and ambient collaborations with Jeff Johnson, his music spans vulnerability, faith, doubt, and noise. His new faith-based double album ‘As Long As I Am In The Tent of This Body I Will Make A Joyful Noise’ (Anotherland Records) is a genre smashing dose of exploratory worship music. In addition to his solo music Van Deusen also fronts the rock band, Telephone Friends.
