John von Seggern has played bass guitar at venues around the world with major international pop artists, DJed techno across Asia and US, and contributed sound design and effects for the Oscar-winning Pixar feature Wall-E and other films.
From 2014-2020 he worked closely with legendary ambient music pioneer Jon Hassell, culminating in the release of two acclaimed albums: Listening to Pictures (2018) and Seeing Through Sound (2020).
His latest Ambient Bass Guitar projects explore the sonic possibilities of the instrument, using the effects rig that he designed for Hassell.
He is also one-half of darkwave electronic duo Liminal Shade, with Honduran vocalist Mar Boreal.
