Songwriters Peter Anthony and Madelynn Elyse are no strangers to writing together. As partners in two other projects - Polaris Rose and Johnny Stranger - the two have experimented with many genres. The music of Johnny Loves Maddie developed over many years, oftentimes requiring Anthony and Elyse to dabble in styles far removed from their other work. “We actually had the name Johnny Loves Maddie when we started writing together, over 10 years ago,” explains Anthony. “We really love writing songs like this but I think we were a bit nervous to put out these sort of acoustic songs.” The music of the duo’s first EP - ‘Skies of Tangerine’ - has already seen exposure across many film/TV projects, including Hulu’s Greta Thunberg documentary and CBS’s B Positive. Now, the duo are finally releasing their EP to be streamed for the first time. “It feels good,” says Elyse. “This music has had a huge impact on our lives and it’s great to finally share it with everyone who has been asking for it!” The duo have already begun recording their follow up album and hope to release new music in late 2022.
