Jon Caspi & The First Gun, a multi-genre band: Heartland rock, punk, indie, Americana, anthem rock, folk rock, known very well in their home state of NJ. Band: Jimmie Mizell-drums, Doug Lane-bass, Pete Jager-guitar (Dodgeball), and Bob Bailey-Lemansky-keys. JC&TFG often collaborate with others including The Bouncing Souls’ Pete Steinkopf, Richard Holgarth (Eddie & The Hot Rods, John Otway), Joe D'Urso (Joe D'Urso & Stone Caravan), & most recently Jesse Malin (D Generation) & Dez Cadena (Black Flag, Misfits); both featured on the new version of Raise 'Em High!, a fan favorite & cult hit heard every Sunday on WFMU DJ "Jonesey" show. It received national radio and press. Cadena was a full-time member 2017-21, playing guitar on many tracks including the "live in studio" full album, The Studio 650 Sessions. New full-length out in late 2025 featuring more special guests!

Caspi has shared the stage with acts: Bruce Springsteen, Psychedelic Furs, Gaslight Anthem, Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze), The Alarm, ~X~, The Smithereens, & many many more.

In the 80's, Caspi fronted Bouncing Off Bob, w/Bailey-Lemansky on keys. Appeared on the national college radio charts, CMJ's Top 100.
